This is part two in a five part story arc in Wolverine: Origins featuring the Merc with a Mouth, Deadpool. In the arc Deadpool is hired to take out fellow Weapon X alumni, Wolverine. WRITER: REILLY BROWN
FABIAN NICIEZA
PENCILS: REILLY BROWN
INKS: JEREMY FREEMAN
COLORED BY: GOTHAM ENTERTAINMENT GROUP

Sadly, this marks the end of the terrific Cable & Deadpool series. This ending of the series doesn't come as a huge surprise, since one of the title characters of this book was taken away. Issue 50 is bonus sized, including excellent bonus material, including a note from Nicieza, artwork, and more. One exciting bit of news coming from the letters section is that Deadpool with appear in Marvel Comics Presents #10. Deadpool was expected at some point in this line, since he appears on the wrap around cover on issue #1.
Something notable about this book is that series writer Nicieza left the book after issue #48, and that the book's artist Reilly Brown took over writing the last two issues with some help from Nicieza. It is this reporters opinion that Brown did a terrific job ending the series.
